Wall has broken hand and wrist

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The price of victory in the 2015 playoffs has proven to be high for Washington Wizards guard John Wall.

The team announced on Thursday that multiple examinations taken on Wednesday revealed a total of five non-displaced fractures in Wall's left wrist and hand.

Wall's status going forward as the Wizards face the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals has yet to be determined. He is working with multiple physicians and specialists to recommend a course of action.

The 24-year-old, fifth-year pro out of Kentucky posted 17.6 points and 10.0 assists per game in the regular season, and averaged 17.4 points and 12.6 assists over five games against the Raptors.

Wall played all four games in Washington's sweep over Toronto in the first round, then participated in Game 1's 104-98 victory over the Hawks on Sunday before sitting out Tuesday's 106-90 defeat.
