A pair of Arcidiacono threes, sandwiched around another Marble three-point play, had Villanova in front with 49 seconds to go before Marble split a pair of foul shots with 31 ticks on the clock to tie it at 72-72 and send the game into overtime.
Back-to-back 3-pointers in overtime by Kris Jenkins and Dylan Ennis gave Villanova a 78-75 cushion early in the extra session and the Wildcats never trailed again.
Iowa led 42-33 at the break.
