UNLV adds St. John's transfer Christian Jones

LAS VEGAS (AP) UNLV has gained some frontcourt depth with the addition of St. John's transfer Christian Jones.

Jones is a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play immediately, according to a release from the school on Tuesday.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Jones played three seasons at St. John's, sitting out another as a redshirt. He played 32 games last season, including 19 starts, and averaged 8.4 points on 48 percent shooting with 5.2 rebounds.

New UNLV coach Marvin Menzies has one spot left to fill on his roster for the 2016-17 season.
