The United States has its first medal in Olympic diving since 2000 after the duo of Kelci Bryant and Abigail Johnston won silver in the Women's Synchronized 3m Springboard. The pair scored a 321.90 to take home America's first-ever synchro medal.

Wu Minxia and He Zi of China, with a score of 346.20, won the gold medal in the Summer Games' opening diving competition, putting their country on their way to a potential sweep of all eight diving gold medals. (China won 11 total medals in diving at Beijing, including seven gold.)

Emilie Heymans and Jennifer Abel won the bronze with 316.80, earning Canada's first medal of the Games. Full results can be found at the London 2012 site.

In synchronized diving, two athletes compete in tandem, and are scored on their execution and synchronisation (obviously). Diving continues on Monday in London with the Men's Synchronized 10m Platform finals at 10 a.m. ET.
