Juventus extended its season-long unbeaten run 0 victory at Juventus Stadium over Palermo.
Simone Pepe started the scoring in the opening half, and Alessandro Matri and Claudio Marchisio added their fifth goals of the season after the break. Juve, which has six wins and four ties, leads Serie A on goal difference over Lazio.
Palermo lost for the third time in its last five, as it slipped six points off the pace of the new leaders.
Juve is the only unbeaten club remaining in the league, and dominated its game against Palermo.
Pepe headed Giorgio Chiellini's cross into the net in the 20th minute to start the scoring, and Matri doubled the lead 3 minutes after half when he turned a pass from Stephan Lichsteiner past Alexandros Tzorvas.
Marchisio collected the third goal off an assist from Mirko Vucinic as the Old Lady wrapped up another win, their third in a row.
Parma 2, Udinese 0
Parma, Italy - Jonathan Biabiany and Sebastian Giovinco scored in the second half as Parma denied Udinese the top spot in Serie A for another week with a 2-0 win Sunday at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Biabiany opened the scoring, and Giovinco converted a penalty in the 76th for his seventh goal of the season. Parma won for the second time over its last three matches, and sits 10th in the table after 11 matches.
Udinese entered the weekend atop the Serie A table, but its second loss in its last four dropped it to fourth, one point off the pace of Juventus and Lazio.
Chievo 2, Catania 1
Catania, Italy - Sergio Pellissier and Paolo Sammarco scored as Chievo built on its strong start with its first road win of the season, 2-1 over Catania at the Stadio Angelo Massimino on Sunday in Serie A.
Pellissier handed Chievo the lead from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time and, after Francesco Lodi missed a penalty for Catania, Sammarco added an insurance goal for Chievo in the 73rd.
Catania pulled a goal back from Sergio Almiron in the 78th, but it wasn't able to find another as it slumped to its first home defeat of the season.
Chievo moved into the top half of the standings on 15 points, and Catania is a point back in the lower half after its second straight loss.
Cesena 1, Bologna 0
Bologna, Italy - Marco Parolo scored 6 minutes from time as Cesena claimed its first win of the Serie A season Sunday, 1-0 over Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
Cesena had dropped its first four road games this season, managing just three ties in six home fixtures, but the club's fourth goal through 11 games was the difference.
Despite the win, Cesena remained bottom of the standings with just six points. Bologna lost its second straight and is two points above the drop zone in 17th place.
Genoa 1, Novara 0
Genoa, Italy - Miguel Veloso scored 4 minutes from time as Genoa edged Novara, 1-0, on Sunday at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in a Serie A match that both sides finished with 10 men.
Genoa lost Luca Antonelli to a red card late in the first half, and the hosts played down a man until the 80th when Novara's Riccardo Meggiorini joined him in the showers early.
Veloso rescued three points as Genoa remained unbeaten at home with three wins and two draws, and remained within distance of the European places. Novara has dropped to within one point of last place after Cesena earned its first win.
Siena 2, Atalanta 2
Siena, Italy - German Denis' brace was spoiled by a late goal from Alessandro Gazzi as Atalanta shared the points with Siena after a 2-2 tie Sunday, but the visitors still earned their eighth road point in Serie A this season.
Denis opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th and, after Gaetano D'Agostino leveled from the spot in the 44th, put Atalanta in front again with his ninth goal of the season in the 53rd.
Siena answered 3 minutes from time as Gazzi struck the equalizer at the Stadio Comunale to help Siena avoid its second home loss this season. Both clubs are in the bottom half of the table.
Roma 2, Lecce 1
Rome, Italy - Miralem Pjanic and Fernando Gago scored on each side of half and Roma downed Lecce, 2-1, on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico to climb to fifth in the Serie A standings.
Pjanic scored the opener in the 25th minute and Gago doubled Roma's lead early in the second half, helping the Rome club win for the third time in its last five. Roma moved from 10th to fifth with the win.
Andrea Bertolacci scored in the 61st for Lecce, which lost for the third time in its last five and remained in the bottom three.
