The United States improved to 2-0 in group play of the men's water polo tournament at the London Games, posting a 10-8 victory over Romania on Tuesday.

The Americans won their opening game of the tournament against Montenegro, which defeated the defending gold medalists on Tuesday. The 11-10 loss dropped the Hungarians to 0-2 in Group B play.

Serbia routed Great Britain, 21-7, in the other Group B game. The British are competing in men's water polo for the first time since 1956 and have been outscored by a 34-11 margin in two games.

In Group A play on Tuesday, Croatia beat Spain, 8-7, Australia bested Kazakhstan, 7-4, and Italy tied Greece, 7-7.
