Wednesday, June 8: Minnesota Twins right fielder Oswaldo Arcia hits a double in the second inning against the Miami Marlins at Target Field.

A week after designating Oswaldo Arcia for assignment, the Minnesota Twins traded the outfielder to the Tampa Bay Rays for a player to be named later or cash.

Originally signed by the Twins in 2007, Arcia played in parts of four seasons with the Twins hitting .240 with 40 home runs and 120 RBI in 251 games.

Arica played in 32 games this season, batting .214 with four home runs. As a rookie in 2013, he batted .251 with 14 home runs and followed that up in 2014 with 20 homers and 57 RBI while batting .231.

He fell out of favor, though, and played in just 19 games for the Twins in 2015, batting .276, spending most of his time with Triple-A Rochester.
