Titans LB Colin McCarthy out for 2nd straight game with concussion, LT Roos expected to play

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

Tennessee middle linebacker Colin McCarthy will miss his second consecutive game with a concussion, and his sixth overall, when the Titans visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

McCarthy was held out of practice Friday after practicing some Wednesday and Thursday. But coach Mike Munchak said Friday the defensive captain is not ready to play a game right now. McCarthy also has missed four games this season with a high right ankle sprain.

But left tackle Michael Roos returned to practice Friday with his sprained right knee and is questionable. Munchak expects Roos to play against the Colts.

The Titans (4-8) also ruled out receiver Damian Williams with a hamstring injury and may promote receiver Michael Preston from the practice squad before kickoff.
