The Tennessee Titans filled their vacant general manager position with Thursday's hiring of Tampa Bay Buccaneers executive Jon Robinson and later turned their attention to finding a new head coach, interviewing Jacksonville Jaguars assistant Doug Marrone.

Marrone spent the 2015 season working as Jacksonville's assistant head coach-offense/offensive line coach. He joined the Jaguars after two seasons as head coach of the Buffalo Bills, where he led the team to a 15-17 record before opting out of his contract.

The 51-year-old Marrone was the head coach at Syracuse for four seasons before being hired in Buffalo. He's also worked as assistant for the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets and on the college level as well.

Via the Titans, Marrone met with Titans' owners Amy Adams Strunk and Kenneth Adams IV, team president Steve Underwood and the newly-hired Robinson.

Ken Whisenhunt was fired by Tennessee in November after a 1-6 start. Mike Mularkey finished out the season as interim head coach.
