Timberwolves sign Kilpatrick to 10-day contract

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Timberwolves signed guard Sean Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract on Thursday.

With several players out of action due to injuries, including guards Shabazz Muhammad and Gary Neal, Minnesota was allowed to exceed the roster limit of 15 with a hardship exemption.

In 42 games in the NBA Development League this season, Kilpatrick was averaging 13.6 points on 43.3 percent shooting. He has no regular-season experience in the NBA, but for the 76ers in the NBA Summer League and for the Warriors during training camp.

Kilpatrick, 25, was undrafted in 2014 after a standout career at Cincinnati. He finished his career averaging 15.3 points per game and was a consensus second team All-American when he averaged 20.6 points per game in his senior season.
