Tight end Tony Moeaki out indefinitely with hamstring injury

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Buffalo Bills tight end Tony Moeaki is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury.

Bills coach Doug Marrone provided an update before the team's Saturday night practice. Marrone said Moeaki will miss a "significant" amount of time, but likely won't miss the remainder of Buffalo's training camp.

Moeaki suffered the injury at practice on Friday.

The hamstring injury is the latest injury setback for the 27-year-old, whose career has been plagued by injuries thus far.

A third-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2010, Moeaki missed the entire 2011 season due to a torn ACL and was waived by Kansas City in 2013 after fracturing his shoulder.

The Bills are also without second-year tight end Chris Gragg, who recently spent time in the hospital with heat-related cramps. Marrone said Gragg should return sometime next week.

The Bills signed tight end Dominique Jones on Saturday. Jones has two seasons of NFL experience. Buffalo also released guard Mark Asper.
