Mike McCoy's team named its captains for 2015. But no one told the Chargers head coach, apparently.

A deleted tweet from Chargers media revealed that Philip Rivers, King Dunlap, Eric Weddle, corey Liuget, and Darrell Stuckey were named captains for the upcoming season. That's "false information" according to McCoy.

With Philip Rivers locked in, now seemed like the perfect time to announce team leaders. Instead, McCoy backtracked.

The team's Twitter account ran a correction to absolve the issue once and for all.
