Texans release Manning

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Texans have released safety Danieal Manning after three seasons with the club.

Manning started all 35 games he played for the Texans and had his season cut short in 2013 after six games because of a fractured fibula. He had 24 tackles and a sack last season.

The 31-year-old veteran spent his first five NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears. He has 503 tackles with 11 interceptions and four sacks in 112 NFL games, 91 of which have been starts.
