Texans promote safety Corey Moore from practice squad

The Houston Texans promoted rookie safety Corey Moore from the team's practice squad on Tuesday to fill the roster spot of cornerback Charles James, who was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury.

An undrafted free agent from the University of Georgia, the 6-foot-2, 206-pound Moore oirginally signed with the Texans in May. He recorded nine tackles for Houston in preseason action this year.

James is out for the remainder of the season with a fractured foot.
