Texans' Johnson "game-time decision" for Sunday

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson sat out the majority of Thursday's practice as he continues to deal with a shin bruise, with head coach Gary Kubiak declaring the All-Pro a "game-time decision" for this weekend's matchup against the St. Louis Rams.

Johnson did not practice at all on Wednesday due to the injury, which occurred in Houston's loss at Baltimore on Sept. 22. The veteran wideout has yet to miss a game this season, but managed just three catches for 39 yards in last week's 34-3 setback at San Francisco.

"He's just very sore from coming off that Baltimore injury," said Kubiak. "He's been pushing through it for us. It's just a tough thing to work through.

"We're doing everything we can to get him back to full strength. He did move around a little bit [Thursday]."

Johnson, who was listed as questionable on the injury report for the San Francisco game, still leads the AFC with 37 receptions totaling 407 yards through the season's first five weeks.
