Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ariel Massengale poured in 28 points, including a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, and No. 5 Tennessee defeated No. 19 Georgia, 85-70, from Stegeman Coliseum.

Isabelle Harrison contributed a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Vols (12-2, 1-1), who are coming off an 80-77 loss to No. 19 LSU on Thursday.

Krista Donald paced the Bulldogs (12-3, 0-2) with 18 points, while Halle Washington deposited 15 points off the bench in defeat, Georgia's second straight to open the conference schedule.

The Tennessee lead swelled to 76-49 following a Mercedes Russell layup with 7:39 to play in the contest.

Georgia, however, responded with a 21-0 surge for over six minutes before Tennessee ended the game with a 9-0 run with all of the points coming via the free-throw line to account for the final margin.

Earlier, Georgia's Erika Ford hit a 3 to tie the game at 17 when the Vols used a 12-4 run capped with eight straight points from Harrison.

The run helped Tennessee to a 40-28 lead at the break.
