Ten-man Mallorca suffers first loss against Getafe

Mallorca sustained its first defeat in La Liga this season as the club dropped a 1-0 decision at Getafe on Monday.

Mallorca came within inches of taking the lead in the fifth minute when Tomer Hemed's header was saved and Michael Pereira sent the rebound crashing off the post.

But only five minutes later, Mallorca was reduced to 10 men after a terrible challenge by Ximo Navarro on Getafe's Diego Castro.

And Castro made the difference for the home side early in the second half when Mallorca failed to clear a ball inside the penalty area, allowing Abdelaziz Barrada to pull the ball back for a first-time finish from Castro.
