Swansea extends De Guzman loan

Swansea City announced Saturday that the club has re-signed Jonathan De Guzman on loan for next season.

De Guzman spent last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium and impressed enough for Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins to offer the 25-year-old an extension following agreement with Villarreal, the Dutch international's parent club.

"Everyone is happy the loan is continuing," Jenkins told Swansea's official website. "Then Jonathan will review his long-term future next summer."

De Guzman lodged eight goals last season to help the Swans finish ninth in the Premier League.
