Surprising Young ousts Dog, reaches Delray semis

Delray Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - In-form American Donald Young upset Alexandr Dolgopolov at the Delray Beach Open on Friday to reach his second semifinal in two weeks.

The capable left-handed Young, ranked 56th in the world, came from behind to dismiss the fourth-seeded Dolgopolov, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, on the hardcourts at Delray Beach Tennis Center. The Ukrainian "Dog" fired 11 aces in a losing effort.

The 25-year-old Young reached the final four in Memphis last week.

The 2015 Delray champion will earn $84,250.
