Suns sign Barbosa for remainder of season

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Suns announced on Tuesday that they have signed guard Leandro Barbosa for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.

Barbosa signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the club this season and has appeared in nine games, averaging 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21.4 minutes.

The 31-year-old Barbosa spent his first seven seasons in Phoenix (2003-10), winning the 2006-07 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, and owns career averages of 12.0 points, 2.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 638 games played over 11 seasons with Phoenix, Toronto, Indiana, and Boston.
