Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey is eager to get back to work.
The three-time Pro Bowler missed all but eight plays of the 2013 season after shredding two ligaments in his right knee. A year removed from the toughest moment of his career, Pouncey says the injury gave him a greater appreciation of the game.
The Steelers believe Pouncey will return to form, signing him to a new five-year contract in June that will pay him more than $44 million.
Pouncey's comeback hasn't been distraction free. He and twin brother Mike are facing a civil suit stemming for a nightclub incident in Miami over the summer, though no criminal charges have been filed.
