Who's back: G Marcus Allen was eighth in the Pac-12 for steals (1.4 spg) but shot just 24 percent on 3s (18 for 75); F Reid Travis, who will look to stay healthy after missing the final 22 games last season with a leg injury; G/F Dorian Pickens, who averaged 15.5 ppg in 29.9 minutes over the final eight games last season.
Who's new: 6-foot-8 F Kodye Pugh; 6-11 F Trevor Stanback.
The Skinny: Stanford looks to get back among the contenders in the Pac-12 with an experienced roster featuring four returning starters and 10 of 11 top scorers. Under Dawkins, the Cardinal advanced to the Sweet 16 of the 2014 NCAA Tournament and NIT championships after the 2012 and `15 seasons.
