Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who suffered an arm injury against the San Diego Chargers last weekend, is confident that he'll be able to take the field this Sunday.

"I'm OK," Stafford said, per Kyle Meinke of MLive.com. "Ready to go."

The Lions play one of their division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, this weekend, so having Stafford healthy is of the utmost importance. He has worn a heavy wrap all week to protect his throwing elbow, according to MLive.com.

Right tackle LaAdrian Waddle also expects to return this Sunday, MLive.com reports. He had surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee eight months ago.

"If things go good this week, I think we'll be able to go this week and I should be able to handle everything," Waddle said, via MLive.com. "Based on how this week of practice goes, yeah, (I should play.)"

No word yet on the statuses of injured right guard Larry Warford (ankle), linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) and cornerback Darius Slay (ankle) for Week 2.
