Southern Illinois adds 12th game to schedule

Southern Illinois University completed its 2013 football schedule by announcing the addition of a Sept. 14 home game against Division II University of Charleston (W.V.).

The Salukis' 12th game gives them six at home.

SIU, from the Missouri Valley Football Conference, is coming off a 6-5 season.

The University of Charleston plays in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and had a 9-2 record last season.
