Southeast Missouri seeks to rebound in 2017

(STATS) - Southeast Missouri will open the 2017 season at Kansas and play five home games as part of its 11-game schedule which was announced Thursday.

The Redhawks are seeking to improve on a 3-8 season under coach Tom Matukewicz.

They will face Kansas for the second time in four seasons on Sept. 2, and have Southern Illinois in their home opener at Houck Stadium on Sept. 16. The Redhawks also will host Ohio Valley Conference opponents Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 30), Tennessee Tech (Oct. 14, Homecoming), UT Martin (Nov. 4) and Murray State (Nov. 18).
