Veteran offensive line coach Jim Turner will be Texas A&M's new offensive line coach, a source told FOX Sports Thursday.

Turner returns to A&M for a second stint. He was the Aggies' line coach under Mike Sherman and was instrumental in putting together arguably the best line class in recent recruiting history that included three first-round picks -- Jake Matthews, Luke Joeckel and Cedric Ogbuehi. He also recruited unheralded basketball player Mike Evans, who blossomed into a football star for A&M.

The former Boston College O-lineman becomes the Aggies' third O-line coach in three years, following B.J. Anderson and Dave Christiansen, who was let go earlier this week. He also worked under Sherman in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.

The Turner hire was first reported by TexAgs.
