Anyone surprised?

The Philadelphia Eagles released quarterback Tim Tebow on Saturday, a source confirmed to FS1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo. ESPN first reported the news.

Tebow had been battling for the No. 3 QB job behind starter Sam Bradford and second-stringer Mark Sanchez. Tebow appeared to have a lock on the gig after a solid preseason finale against the Jets on Thursday night, and even moreso after the team traded his main competition, Matt Barkley, to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.
