Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Seattle Sounders FC survived at CenturyLink Field on Saturday to pick up a narrow 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo.

Obafemi Martins netted the lone goal of the affair as the Sounders overcame a second-half red card to Gonzalo Pineda to move to seven points on the season.

Houston remains on five points, dropping its second match of the campaign.

Seattle went in front five minutes before halftime when Martins collected a through ball from Clint Dempsey, beat his mark with a nifty turn and slotted a shot past Tyler Deric.

The Sounders took the hard way to three points after Pineda received a straight red in the 56th minute for catching Ricardo Clark in the ribs with his studs, but the hosts ultimately maintained the lead through the final whistle to claim all three points.
