The Oklahoma Sooners put up six runs in the top of the ninth inning en route to a 10-4 win over the host Virginia Tech Hokies in the Blacksburg Regional Final.

The win was the third in as many days for Oklahoma (43-19) which will move on to Super Regionals to face LSU. Hector Lorenzana went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Jack Mayfield had three hits and drove in a pair as well for the Sooners.

Jake Fisher was able to earn the win after allowing three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. The Sooners bullpen then closed the door by not allowing an earned run in the final 3 2/3 innings.

Regional host Virginia Tech (39-22) was ousted after having defeated Connecticut, 3-1, earlier in the day to reach the regional final. Eddie Campbell was saddled with the loss after he allowed four runs, two earned, in 5 2/3 innings.
