France may seem relatively quiet in the medal standings, but get this: It's won more medals than any other countries over the last three days.

A French sweep in men's freestyle ski cross plus a silver in the women's halfpipe in the same sport made France the biggest medal mover of the day for Thursday.

France moved to ninth in the medal standings after 81 events, with 15 total medals at the start of Friday's competition.

Canada won two golds, one in a thriller in women's ice hockey over the United States and the other in women's curling. Norway, Russia and the United States won one gold each.

Norway kept its position atop the medal standings with 10 golds and 21 total medals. The United States, second in the medal standings, has the most total medals with 25.

Asian countries won only two medals on Thursday, with Korea and Japan winning one each.

Medal in seven events will be awarded Friday, including men's curling, women's freestyle ski cross and three short track events.
