Sim agrees to 1-year deal with Isles

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) - Forward Jon Sim has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the New York Islanders.

Sim had one goal and three assists in 34 games last season for the Islanders. He had 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 77 games in the 2009-10 season.

"Jon brings an unmatched work ethic and veteran leadership to our lineup and we're excited to have him back for the upcoming season," Islanders general manager Garth Snow said.

He was a third-round selection of the Dallas Stars in the 1996 draft.
