San Jose Sharks head coach Todd McLellan left Sunday's game against the Minnesota Wild after taking a stick to the head.

Early in the second period, play stopped as McLellan was seen on the ground in the bench area. McLellan got up after a few minutes and needed assistance making his way to the locker room.

The reason for McLellan going down was not known at first, but the San Jose broadcast later said that he took a stick to the head. They also added that he is alert and responsive.
