Serbia trounces Brazil, moves to World Cup semis

Madrid, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Milos Teodosic scored 23 points to lead Serbia over Brazil, 84-56, Wednesday in quarterfinal action at the FIBA World Cup.

Bojan Bogdanovic added 12 points and six rebounds for the Serbians, who will face either Spain or France in the semifinal round. Those two countries battle in the fourth and final quarterfinal game later on Wednesday.

Leading by just five, 37-32, after the first half, Serbia put the game out of reach in the third quarter. Serbia shot 10-of-14 from the field in the deciding frame, outscoring Brazil 29-12.

Anderson Varejao scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Brazil, which never made it a game in the final stanza.

The United States and Lithuania already advanced to the semifinals, winning their respective quarterfinal games on Tuesday.
