Self scores 21 points, Texas State picks up 73-58 victory over UT-Pan American

Matt Self led a parade of double-figures scorers with 21 points and Texas State defeated Texas-Pan American 73-58 on Saturday.

Texas State (4-5) also got 12 points from Joel Wright, 11 points from Reid Koenen and 10 points from Vonn Jones.

Wright also had nine rebounds and Jones had eight assists.

Jesus Delgado led Texas-Pan American (2-7) with 13 points and Brandon Provost added 12.

Texas-Pan American struggled with its shooting, making just 34.9 percent from the floor and converting just 9 of 20 free throws.

One of the keys for Texas State was a 46-34 scoring advantage in the paint.
