Eddie Johnson of Seattle Sounders FC was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week on Monday after grabbing the opening goal in a 4-0 defeat of the Los Angeles Galaxy this weekend.
Johnson's opener, which turned out to be the game-winner, was his sixth goal in Seattle's last seven games. With 10 goals on the season, he is tied for fifth on the MLS scoring chart.
