Is there any reason for concern for the Seahawks' secondary?

Earl Thomas is on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and Kam Chancellor has yet to show up, instead holding out in hopes of a new contract.

The leaves undrafted players DeShawn Shead (third year with the team) and Steven Terrell are the starting safeties. However, come fall, Richard Sherman doesn't envision a scenario where Thomas ends up missing time.

"Can I imagine Earl Thomas not playing in a real game? I cannot," Sherman told reporters. "That's not because I've played with him for so long. I just know him as a person. I know what kind of competitor he is, I know what kind of drive he has inside of him."

Thomas has yet to miss a game during his five-year career in Seattle. In fact, after injuring the shoulder in the first half of the NFC West Championship game, Thomas went on to finish the game and then played in Super Bowl XLIX.

It's hard to imagine Thomas sitting out Week 1, as he's built a reputation for being one of the toughest players in the league.
