Saying team is 'excited,' Al Golden already looking ahead to what Miami may be in 2013

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

Miami coach Al Golden says he is not anticipating much in the way of unexpected departures from the program this offseason, and that goes for both coaches and draft-eligible underclassmen.

Golden says he's met with about 50 or 60 potentially returning players since the Hurricanes' season ended over the weekend. He also insisted that he's not expecting any changes related to his coaching staff, saying "we're not going anywhere."

Miami finished the season at 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference's Coastal Division. The Hurricanes would have been in the ACC championship game this weekend if not for a second consecutive self-imposed postseason ban prompted by a lengthy NCAA investigation into the school's compliance practices.
