Paulius Satkus had career highs 21 points and eight rebounds to lead James Madison to its fourth consecutive victory, 79-72, over Sacred Heart on Wednesday.
Jackson Kent scored 15 points, 13 in the first half when the Dukes (4-1) had their biggest lead at 17 points and led at the break 41-27. Tom Vodanovich added 12 points and Ron Curry 11. The Dukes shot 50 percent.
Cane Broome scored 15 points, De'Von Barnett 14, Phil Gaetano 13 and Steve Glowiak 11 for the Pioneers (1-3).
Sacred Heart made an 8-0 run to close within five with 8:14 left in the game but the Dukes immediately followed with a 7-0 spurt to extend their lead to 64-52.
The Pioneers surged with a 12-1 run to again close within five with 1:24 remaining but seven Dukes free throws thereafter held off Sacred Heart.
The game was part of the Buckeye Classic.
