Saints left tackle Armstead, sack leader Galette, hurt against Panthers

Published January 08, 2015

Associated Press

New Orleans left tackle Terron Armstead and pass-rushing outside linebacker Junior Galette have been hurt during the first half of the Saints' game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Armstead left the game with what team officials described as a neck injury, adding that his return to the game was questionable. He was replaced by Bryce Harris.

Galette, who leads the Saints in sacks with seven, went down during Jonathan Stewart's 4-yard loss on a running play to the left side.

After receiving attention for several minutes on the field, Galette was helped to his feet and able to limp off under his own power, favoring his right leg. Galette initially was replaced by Kasim Edebali. The Saints said Galette's return for the second half was probable.
