Royals activate Aoki

Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Kansas City Royals activated outfielder Nori Aoki from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers.

The Royals also optioned infielder Christian Colon to Triple-A Omaha.

Aoki landed on the DL on June 21 with a groin injury. He was batting .263 with 12 doubles and 14 RBI before the injury.
