Wayne Rooney will be available for selection in Manchester United's Premier League meeting with QPR, it was revealed Friday.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Rooney has bounced back after missing the club's last two matches with tonsillitis. The manager also revealed that the availability of defenders Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling is still uncertain.

"Wayne Rooney is fit," said Ferguson. "He had tonsillitis but has been training all week, which is good.

"Jonny Evans will hopefully train today but I don't know if he will be available for tomorrow. Chris Smalling had a small shoulder injury on Tuesday night [against Galatasaray].
