Romania's Simona Halep defeats Samantha Stosur in Tournament of Champions final in Bulgaria

Simona Halep of Romania won the season-ending Tournament of Champions on Sunday, defeating Samantha Stosur of Australia 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 for her sixth career title.

After trading sets, Halep trailed 2-1 in the decider but broke serve twice to win the last five games. Halep repeatedly moved Stosur into the corners and finished off several points with perfect shots down the line.

Halep is expected to rise to No. 11 in Monday's WTA rankings.
