Rolando loaned to Napoli

Napoli announced Thursday that it has secured the services of defender Rolando from FC Porto on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Portuguese defender has opted to join Napoli amid rumored interest from English side QPR.

"I'm really happy to wear this shirt," Rolando told Napoli's official website. "I wanted to join Napoli because it's a big club with a lot of great players. I've heard a lot about the passionate fans and I can't wait to experience a game at the Stadio San Paolo."
