GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers got off to a running start at training camp.

Coach Mike McCarthy said he saw the quick tempo that he was looking for in the first practice on Thursday.

All 11 starters, plus most of the top reserves, are back, led by MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Receiver Jordy Nelson said the continuity allows the offense to get a jump on making adjustments to base plays during this early part of camp. The main contributors can focus on making an offense that scored a league-high 30.4 points per game perform even better.

Nelson, as expected, was a full go at practice after being limited during the offseason after hip surgery.
