Roda stick seven past Excelsior

Roda cruised to a comfortable win place Excelsior at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion on Saturday, as six 0 victory.

Jagos Vukovic, Davy De Beule, and Ruud Vormer each scored a goal in the opening period to give Roda a three-goal cushion at the break. Arnaud Sutchuin-Djoum scored twice in the second half, and Mitchell Donald and Mikolaj Lebedynski both added a goal to complete the rout.

The win moves Roda into ninth place in the Dutch top flight, improving to 24 points on the season. Excelsior remains bottom with just eight points from its 17 games.

Elsewhere in the Dutch league on Saturday, John Goossens bagged a brace to see NEC edge Venlo with a 2-0 win, Guram Kashia scored a late winner to give Vitesse a 1-0 win over Heracles, and David Texeira scored the lone goal for Groningen in a 1-0 defeat of Utrecht.
