Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with left index finger inflammation.

Gonzalez left Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Arizona with swelling in his left index finger. He missed three games after suffering the same injury on May 21 against the Giants and will now miss at least two weeks.

The two-time All Star, who has also battled a right calf contusion and left knee tendinitis this season, has hit .255 with eight home runs and 31 RBI in 52 games.

Colorado recalled infielder Ryan Wheeler and catcher Mike McKenry from Triple- A Colorado Springs and designated catcher Jordan Pacheco for assignment.
