Rochester's Miller named MISL Player of Week

Rochester Lancers forward Doug Miller was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.

Miller tied an MISL record with six goals in a 24-17 win over the Missouri Comets on Saturday to win the award for the fifth week of the season. He also won in the second week of the season. Miller leads the league with 29 points and 13 goals.

Missouri also lost Friday to the Syracuse Silver Knights, 13-7. Rochester lost to Syracuse, 23-8, on Sunday. The Milwaukee Wave beat the Chicago Soul, 14-9, in the other Saturday match last week.

The undefeated Baltimore Blast were off last week, but return to action Friday when they host the Wichita Wings. Chicago hosts Rochester in the other Friday match.

On Saturday, Milwaukee hosts Rochester and Syracuse hosts Wichita. On Sunday, Missouri hosts Chicago.

Week 1: Vahid Assadpour, Missouri Comets.

Week 2: Doug Miller, Rochester Lancers.

Week 3: William Vanzela, Baltimore Blast.

Week 4: Max Ferdinand, Baltimore Blast.

Week 5: Doug Miller, Rochester Lancers.
