Reports: Patriots will trade Mankins to Bucs

Published February 05, 2015

(SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Patriots have agreed to the parameters of a trade that would send six-time Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a fourth-round draft pick in 2015 and tight end Tim Wright, according to ESPN.

The trade was first reported by Fox Sports.

Mankins has started 130 games during an impressive nine-year run with the Patriots, who selected him in the first round of the 2005 draft.

The 32-year-old Mankins fills an obvious need on a Buccaneers' offensive line that lost Carl Nicks. Tampa Bay reached an injury settlement with Nicks last month.

The Buccaneers hosted former Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito for a visit Monday. Incognito has yet to find a job after last year's bullying incident with the Miami Dolphins.
