The Texans will be without starting quarterback Brian Hoyer for this week's game against the New York Jets, according to a report.

Per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Hoyer will miss Sunday's game after suffering a concussion in Monday night's 10-6 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hoyer left the game in the third quarter after being sacked by Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko.

T.J. Yates took over with the Texans trailing 6-3 and was able to lead the team on the game-winning scoring drive capped off by a 22-yard touchdown to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Yates will start against the Jets, with newly-acquired quarterback Brandon Weeden, who the team claimed on waivers, serving as backup.

According to Wilson, the Texans hope to have Hoyer back for next week's game against New Orleans.
