Published November 20, 2014

The Washington Redskins have reportedly made a quarterback change.

According to ESPN, head coach Mike Shanahan has informed his team that John Beck will start Sunday at Carolina.

The 30-year-old Beck replaces Rex Grossman, who was benched after throwing four interceptions in Sunday's 20-13 loss to Philadelphia.

Beck led an 80-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter against the Eagles, scoring on a two-yard run.

Grossman was 9-of-22 for 143 yards before leaving and Beck, who lost the battle to be starter in the preseason, went 8-of-15 for 117 yards.

Beck has made four NFL starts, all with Miami during the 2007 season.
